They then translate the business requirements into technical terms using specifications. They often specialize in a particular business area.

Service Desk Analyst: The Service Desk (or Help Desk) is the first tier of end user support at an organization. These analysts will typically answer the phone calls or e-mail requests for users experiencing problems with some facet to technology. Well-versed in the overall catalog of applications, the service desk analyst will work to quickly try and solve most problems. Problems that cant be answered are sent to a Tier 2 analyst or to a developer or business analyst for further investigation.

Project Manager: Project Managers develop and manage detailed project scheduled that tell everyone how long an IT project will take and who’s needed to complete it. Management: Similar to other areas of a company, IT will have layer(s) of management.
